Have you viewed the new PokerPro holdem poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks ago when I took a quick getaway with my mom to the WinStar Gambling house in Oklahoma.
As I waited for my name to be acknowledged at the live tables, I watched how the other persons at the PokerPro tables interacted with each other. It was fairly interesting to say the least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there were no clay poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the actual live experience was stale. Maybe I was the only one that recognized this, but I did observe the players at the table had a lifeless high quality to them. The reason for this may be since there was no human interaction with the dealer, the ambiance was relatively dull and the players looked bored. It was nearly as if I was viewing a live version of an internet hold em poker room instead of being seated with hot bodied humans. It was a little bit creepy and I kept flashing back to an episode of ST:TNG and the holodeck broke down.
Since the waiting time for the are living tables was over an hour, I made the decision to see how the game play was and to experience this new hold em poker gaming technologies. After playing a few hands, I genuinely felt like I was betting at home. The lack of activity at the table was the main reason. I like to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those items are feasible at these digital tables.
One more thing I discovered was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a good deal of hands on the PokerPro table and discovered that the bet on was a great deal like an online holdem poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, except I found it to become extremely odd.
Following betting a couple of rounds with this "new hold em poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables had been not for me. I’m much better off playing holdem poker online at home and not travel the distance. If WinStar Casino have been to acquire rid of the are living poker tables, I think they’d loose a good deal of gamblers.
