Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the wild west in an excellent game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the dealer, unlike nearly all other poker games that players play against other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to fret about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their money.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game pace, newcomers can take their time and plan without having to make hasty choices.
It’s also simpler to play for an extended time with basically a small amount of cash seeing as, to not win, both of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards faces showing and the house receives 7 cards face down.
A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the dealer’s.
