Caribbean Poker Codes and Hints

Online poker has become world famous as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier declares "No more bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the different players acquire 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original bet, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the casino. After the bet comes the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, including a sum on par with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The house pony’s up money equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
